With just a few weeks remaining before the 2011 regular-season books are closed and the playoffs start, there is a lot of interesting NFL news happening. First, Black Monday came early with the firing of Tony Sparano (Miami) and Todd Haley (Kansas City). The Tim Tebow sensation and the Broncos are picking up momentum on their way to winning the AFC West. The crazy happenings with Ndamukong Suh, first the on-field issues of stomping on one of his peers during a game and was ejected, his car accident during his week of suspension and his exit from a local radio show.

The Cleveland Browns are in a whirlwind of controversy. Quarterback Colt McCoy was never mis-diagnosed because he was never checked. Once the team returned back to Cleveland after a road trip, it was reported the quarterback was taken home by a teammate because of dizziness, and he was unable to drive.

One of the biggest shocks of the decade came Thursday with the news of Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd’s arrest for trying to set up a drug-dealing network. He was apprehended Wednesday night with more than a pound of cocaine.
