The St. Louis Rams have made the first wave of cuts from 90-75 with WR Danario Alexander as the biggest name released. This hometown favorite struggled in 2010 & 2011 to stay on the field because of multiple injuries and the well documented left knee (five surgical procedures) which slowed down his overall development, not only in practice but on game day as well. The Rams fans were entertained, as was I, by his playmaking brilliance and flashes when he was relatively healthy and able to perform on game day. In two seasons with the Rams, Alexander played in 18 games and started only seven of them. In his 46 receptions, he tallied 737 yards with a 16 yard average and three touchdowns.
Other Rams waived today;
FB Todd Anderson, TE Brody Eldridge, WR Charles Gilbert, DT John Gill, WR Brandyn Harvey, LB Alex Hoffman-Ellis, T Kevin Hughes, LB Noah Keller, K Garrett Lindholm, T Ryan McKee, RB Calvin Middleton, RB Nick Schwieger, LS Travis Tripucka and Trevor Laws was placed on Reserved/Injured.
