1. L.A. Rams

Top 5 Needs:  QB, C, DB, WR, TE

Team Analysis:  Rams trade with Tennessee Titans was a very aggressive move by Coach Fisher and G.M. Les Sneed.  I’m from the old school of scouting if you covet a franchise player, go get him.  The Rams already know who their guy is or they wouldn’t have made that move.  With the Rams now departed from the Show Me State and operating in the land of the stars, Coach Fisher must continue the building process while making a tide of wave of excitement with the fan base in Los Angeles, this was a great start.

Prospect:  QB Jared Goff (California) – No Change

  1. Philadelphia Eagles

Top 5 needs:  RB, DPR/DE, OT, WR, OG

Team Analysis:  G.M. Howie Roseman jumped from #8 to #2 for a quarterback, this is no big secret, the question is which one will fall in his lap.  I like this move, its aggressive and shows me the Eagles covet two players they feel very good about.

Prospects:  QB Carson Wentz (North Dakota State)

  1. San Diego Chargers

Top 5 Needs:  DE, TE, DB, OT, DT

Team Analysis:  At some point the Chargers Brass will pull the trigger on a QB to take over when Phillip Rivers retires, but this is not the year to draft early for that position.  Injury history is starting to catch up with TE Antonio Gates and the departure of veterans TE Ladaruis Green and DB Eric Weddle leaves holes at those positions.  Both offensive and defensive lines have flashing yellow lights when looking at the depth and possible needs for those positions immediately.

Prospect:  OT Laremy Tunsil (Mississippi)

  1. Dallas Cowboys

Top 5 Needs:  CB, QB, DT, DE, RB

Team Analysis:  With Tony Romo’s play time decreasing and injury history mounting the last 27 games, despite playing behind the best offensive line in football, Owner Jerry Jones and son Stephen are not likely going to draft a QB this high.  Will Jerry pull a rabbit out of the hat? The backend of the Cowboys defense needs help and cornerback should be the position of choice.  I think passing on Ohio St RB Ezekiel Elliott would be a big mistake.

Prospect:  CB Jalen Ramsey (Florida St)

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars

Top 5 needs:  CB, DE, OLB, OG, OC

Team Analysis:  G.M. David Caldwell knows football starts on the LOS and addressed that in free agency with the addition of DE Malik Jackson.  There is no center that warrants the number 5 overall pick, so filling the holes in their secondary is critical.  Draft for need or best available player that is the question.

Prospect:  DE Joey Bosa (Ohio St)

  1. Baltimore Ravens

Top 5 needs:  OT, DPR, OLB, WR, CB

Team Analysis: G.M. Ossie Newsome will have to work his magic in several rounds to fill front line starter positions and depth concerns because of aging vets.   Ravens offensive line was very inconsistent in protecting pocket passer QB Joe Flacco in 2015, this is a major concern.  If the offensive linemen they covet is gone, trading back is a strong possibility.

Prospect:  OT Ronnie Stanley (Notre Dame)

  1. San Francisco 49ers

Top 5 needs: WR, CB, LB, QB, OG

Team Analysis:  New head Coach Chip Kelly and G. M. Trent Baalke have some major holes to fill.  With former G.M. Scot McCloughan’s draft picks no longer on the roster or retired young, 49ers need to work themselves out of the current tall spin, by drafting top tier players for the future which is now! While QB Colin Kaepernick remains on the trading block, adding the best available play maker to compete in the NFC West is key.

Prospects:  DE/DT DeForest Buckner (Oregon)

  1. Cleveland Browns

Top 5 Needs:  QB, WR, DE, OT, LB

Team Analysis:  With the signing of RGIII at quarterback the Browns now have options to fill the plethora of holes they currently have on both sides of the ball.  New head coach Hue Jackson and ‘Money Ball’ expert Paul DePodesta have choices.  With the trade down to the eighth slot, the Browns pass on a possible franchise QB.  With RGII at the helm, stock piling picks to build both the offensive and defensive line for the future.  But the Browns brass will not pass on a player tha will have instant success and take a lot of pressure off RGIII.

Prospect: RB Ezekiel Elliott (Ohio State)

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Top 5 needs:  OT, CB, DB, DT, DPR

Team Analysis:  Offensive tackle may be their highest need, but picking the best available player will be the focus and direction of G.M. Jason Licht.  The Bucs could pull the trigger on a safety at this spot, but if both positions are equal then you draft for need.

Prospect:  OLB/DPR Leonard Floyd (Georgia)

  1. New York Giants

Top 5 needs:  LB, DB, RB, OT, WR

Team Analysis:  JPP is signed at a lower salary and G.M. Jerry Reese recruited Olivier Vernon and several others to the Giants roster during free agency.  Don’t be fooled, adding another pass rusher or linebacker here is a strong possibility.

Prospect:  OT Jack Conklin (Michigan State)

  1. Chicago Bears

Top 5 needs:  DT/NT, LB, DE, OT, DB

Team Analysis:  John Fox in his 2nd year needs to build the Bears defense to compete in their division.  Drafting a run stuffing pass rusher from the middle is the key in the Vic Fangio 3-4 defense.  Offensively QB Jay Cutler could use a solid running game as well.

Prospect:  DT/NT Sheldon Rankins (Louisville)

  1. New Orleans Saints

Top 5 needs:  DT, OG, CB, WR, DE

Team Analysis:  QB Drew Brees would love another playmaker outside the numbers, but the Saints defense lacks explosive playmakers and depth.  G.M. Mickey Loomis should focus on the defensive front first.

Prospect:  DT A’Shawn Robinson (Alabama)

  1. Miami Dolphins

Top 5 needs:  DE, WR, CB, RB, OG

Team Analysis:  The Dolphins need help on both sides of the ball.  They Lost several players in free agency and finding playmakers to replace or increase their production is critical. Replacing a pass rusher, wanting receivers or drafting a lock down corner, what will the Dolphins do?

Prospect:  DE Shaq Lawson (Clemson)

  1.  Oakland Raiders

Top 5 needs:  LB, CB, OT, DB, WR

Team Analysis:  The Raiders under G.M. Reggie McKenzie and Head Coach Jack Del Rio are building to win their division and are not far off in accomplishing their goals.  The signing of OLB Bruce Irvin to team up with Khalil Mack strengthens their defensive unit, adding another linebacker will give them a very salty front seven.  This player is a wild card because of his off the field issues, he is a perfect Raider!

Prospect:  DT Robert Nkemdiche (Mississippi)

  1. Tennessee Titans

Top 5 needs:  OT, CB, DE, WR, DB

Team Analysis: Offensive Tackle is the highest positional need for the Titans in order to protect QB Marcus Mariota’s blind side.  The trade with the Rams leaves G.M. Jon Robinson and the Titans organization in great shape with 6 picks in the first three rounds of the 2016 NFL Draft.  Sit and pick best player

Prospect:  CB Vernon Hargreaves (Florida)

  1. Detroit Lions

Top 5 needs:  OT, CB, LB, DE/DPR, WR

Team Analysis:  QB Matthew Stafford may feel he needs a playmaker to replace retired receiver Calvin Johnson, but New G.M. Bob Quinn wants to protect his QB for twenty plus games a year.  Running the ball in a tough division will be key to offensive productivity in 2016.

Prospect: OT Taylor Decker (Ohio State)

  1. Atlanta Falcons

Top 5 needs:  DE/DPR, DB, TE, LB, OG

Team Analysis:  Head Coach Dan Quinn understands a stout defense is much needed in Atlanta in order to compete within the division.  With the NFC South stocked with talented quarterbacks (Panthers-Newton, Saints-Brees and Buccaneers-Winston), squeezing the pocket and stopping the run will be first priority.

Prospect:  OLB Myles Jack (UCLA)

  1. Indianapolis Colts

Top 5 needs:  DPR, OLB, OT, DB, OG

Team Analysis:  Team defense has been an issue for several years in Indianapolis.  Head Coach Chuck Pagano must build the front seven now, and adding a pass rusher is the key.  This pick is too early for an OG or C.

Prospect:  DPR/OLB Noah Spence (Eastern Kentucky)

  1. Buffalo Bills

Top 5 Needs:  DL, OT, OLB, WR, QB

Team Analysis: With veteran DE Mario Williams lost in free agency to Miami Dolphins, Head Coach Rex Ryan and the Bills will be looking for versatility on the defensive line.

Prospect:  DT Jarran Reed (Alabama)

  1. New York Jets

Top 5 Needs:  LB, OT, DPR, CB, QB

Team Analysis:  Jets Head Coach Todd Boyles is blinded by the flashing yellow light when it comes to his linebacker crop (starters and depth).  Not only does he lack talent at the position, leadership is a concern as well.  Tough to pass on this player!

Prospect:  QB Paxton Lynch (Memphis)

  1. Washington Redskins

Top 5 needs:  LB, DB, DT, QB, RB

Team Analysis: Now that G.M. Scot McCloughan has the pulse of the locker room from a talent standpoint, watch him build a championship team in Washington, like he did in San Francisco.  A bell cow linebacker would help production within the front seven.

Prospect:  LB Reggie Ragland (Alabama)

  1. Houston Texans

Top 5 Needs:  WR, DB, TE, DE, OG

Team Analysis:  With WR DeAndre Hopkins emergence as a Blue player (playmaker/difference maker), having a supporting cast member will help newly acquired QB Brock Osweiler’s development.

Prospect:  WR Corey Coleman (Baylor)

  1. Minnesota Vikings

Top 5 needs:  WR, LB, DB, OT, DE

Team Analysis: The departure of underutilized WR Mike Wallace and the team’s brass still waiting for Cordarrelle Patterson’s slow developing upside, Vikings need at the receiver position is glaring.

Prospect:  WR Laquon Treadwell (Mississippi)

  1. Cincinnati Bengals

Top 5 needs:  WR, NT/DT, C, LB, OG

Team Analysis: If Head Coach Marvin Lewis is to win his first playoff game, he better stock pile some very talented receivers that are ready to play now!  Pro Bowl WR AJ Green will need some help now that receivers Mohammad Sanu and Marvin Jones departed via free agency.

Prospect:  WR Will Fuller (Notre Dame)

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers

Top 5 needs:  CB, DB, OT, OG, LB

Team Analysis: One of the best in the business, G.M. Kevin Colbert understands the back-end of the Steelers defense needs talent infusion in a big way.  Drafting a corner with this pick will help the front seven.

Prospect:  CB William Jackson III (Houston)

  1. Seattle Seahawks

Top 5 needs: OT, DT, CB, DB, C

Team Analysis: At the end of the 2015 season, offensive tackle was a position of need.  With Russell Okung now a Bronco, regardless of the players signed in free agency, OT remains the focal point of this draft.  The Seahawk roster was poached during 2016 Free Agency period on front line starters and their depth is spotty.  Despite being extremely competitive, the Seahawks are in a slight personnel transition and cant afford a setback in a very tough NFC West division.  Seahawks cant pass on this center piece of the offensive line, he is a Tom Cable guy!

Prospect:  C Ryan Kelly (Alabama)

  1. Green Bay Packers

Top 5 needs:  DT, MLB, WR, OT, OG

Team Analysis:  With DT B.J. Raji now retired, replacing his production is critical.  Adding a versatile defensive space eater to work into the rotation will help defensive coordinator Dom Capers defensive unit.

Prospect:  DT Vernon Butler (Louisiana Tech)

  1. Kansas City Chiefs

Top 5 needs: RB, CB, DE/DT, DB, WR

Team Analysis:  Chiefs loss starting corner Sean Smith in free agency.  G.M. John Dorsey comes from the Ron Wolfe School of scouting and covets tall athletic corners with speed and length.  They have a need at running back, trading back and gathering more picks is a strong possibility, but if the right corner is still on the board Chiefs brass will pull the trigger fast.

Prospect: CB Eli Apple (Ohio St)

  1. Arizona Cardinals

Top 5 needs: C, DB, LB, OT, QB

Team Analysis:  Cardinals lost talented OT Bobbie Massie who departed via free agency and DJ Humphries has knee issues.  Protecting aging pocket passer Carson Palmer is Head Coach Bruce Arians main objective, especially within the pass rushing NFC West Division.

Prospect:  CB Mackensie Alexander (Clemson)

  1. Carolina Panthers

Top 5 needs:  DE, WR, OT, DB, CB

Team Analysis: This would be a steal for the Panthers and a long shot because talent dictates drafting this player mid-first round.

Prospect:  DE Emmanuel Ogbah (Oklahoma St)

  1. Denver Broncos

Top 5 needs:  QB, RB, LB, DB, OT

Team Analysis:  The defending Super Bowl Champions need a quarterback in a bad way, signing Mark Sanchez is not the answer or the future.  The San Francisco 49ers and Broncos continue to flirt about QB Colin Kapernick, this could be a draft day trade.

Prospect:  DB Keanu Neal (Florida)

*New England Patriots – Forfeited first round pick (Team Needs: CB, DE, OT, RB, DB)
