Cam Chancellor was the BOOM in the Seattle Seahawks secondary, Earl Thomas maybe the best safety from sideline to sideline in the NFL for his time in a Seahawk uniform. The man that set the tone for the L.O.B. was Richard Sherman. An aging vet cut during the off season by the Seahawks, carrying a 11 million dollar contract coming off an Achilles surgery just didn’t add up for the Seahawks brass.
A first ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer in my mind has 32 career interceptions, returned two for touchdowns and 401 total tackles. He negotiated his own contract and signed with a NFC WEST foe the San Francisco 49ers. An out spoken player had some controversy in his last few seasons with the Hawks, out burst on the sideline yelling at players and coaches. There is no doubt the passion he has for the game and winning is the only thing important to him. Off the field he is a man that gives back to kids through his foundation and is very vocal with the NFLPA on player relations.
What Im excited to see on Sunday is not if he will get booed, but the cat and mouse game between Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and beloved cornerback.
