NFL and NFLPA Release 2018 Helmet Testing Results

By Tony Softli Today a joint press release from the NFL and NFL Players Association (NFLPA) was announced, detailing the results of their annual study assessing the performance of football helmets.  The statement made it clear that the study was for helmets worn by NFL players. Several former NFL players have been diagnosed with or have suffered from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).  These diagnosis can only be made post-mortem, several retired players are now reporting to NFL, NFLPA and their personal doctors on symptoms of CTE.   Will the new era helmets help stop or slow the damaging effects of CTE? ...

By Tony Softli With twenty days until the 83rd Annual National Football League Player Selection Meeting  in Dallas, TX all 32 clubs are preparing for the voluntary offseason workout programs.  These programs are extremely important prepping NFL players in training and knocking off the off season rust with physical conditioning and weight training and the teaching and instruction of the upcoming season scheme changes.   Each club is allowed a nine-week offseason program that is conducted in three phases: Phase One –  First two weeks are limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only.
